This Henry Sauer bier field officer's sword is a recent attic find. Sword is covered by a 150 year old layer of caked-on dust and grime. I gently and unobtrusively removed some grime from the blade to show that the blade isn't pitted. Blade is 31" long, in characteristic Sauer bier shape, with some light etching remaining. The very point of the blade has a little bend to it. Hilt is beautifully patinated, grip has some light play. A great untouched Henry Sauer bier-made Civil War sword!!!
