US CIVIL WAR TIFFANY-IMPORTED CAVALRY SABER BY ROBERT MOLE

$0.00

Description
This scarce US Civil War cavalry trooper's saber was imported by Tiffany & Co., and made for them by Robert Mole and Sons of Birmingham, England. It emulates the British 1821 Pattern cavalry sword, and carries a massive 35.5" blade, which is in excellent condition, with no rust or pitting, and exhibits a fine uniform patina. The blade's recess and the scabbard drag are marked with Tiffany's cartouches, the back of the blade is stamped RM&SB, which obviously stands for Robert Mole & Sons, Birmingham. The sword is very heavy and feels quite tight. The leather on the grip has dried from age. An excellent Civil War cavalry sword.
