Description
This late 17th-early 18th century hunting sword bears a massive 50 cm long blade from a shortened military broadsword. Blade is engraved with the initials JBD(?). The belt frog is stitch-decorated in a shape of a heart. Leather has shrunk and split along the back seam. Hilt shows some mild looseness.

The cast and hand-chased bronze hilt retains traces of original fire-gilding, and is decorated with the stag and boar hunting scenes in relief, and has two openings for a lanyard.
