Description
This silver-mounted boy's kindjal measures 23 cm. in overall length, with a 16.5 cm.-long blade, and handle measuring 6.5 cm. Blade has some pitting, and requires a proper cleaning and conservation. Silver niello mountings have acquired a beautiful uniform patina. The Cyrillic maker's marks on the scabbard and hilt read "A3". Stylistically Western Georgian, this kindjal is probably from the region of Mingrelia.
