OTTOMAN SILVER-MOUNTED DAMASCUS KHANJAR KINDJAL CA.1790

This Ottoman kindjal [khanjar] dates to the second half of 18th century-early 19th century. Blade is of fine wootz damascus steel, and is about 25.5 cm-long. Hilt has acquired a beautiful patina. Scabbard is silver over wood, terminating in lion's head. Quality of silver work is quite excellent. A very fine damascus kindjal!
