Description

This 18th century Ottoman flintlock pistol survives in a very decent overall condition. The frizzen has lost its pan cover a very long time ago, the lock is otherwise complete and original. The barrel is decorated with the silver koftgari on the top. Early banana-shaped lock and a delicate goose-neck hammer point to the first half of 1700s. Barrel is faintly maker-marked. Overall length 38 cm, barrel is 23 cm long, in 15 mm caliber. A very attractive 18th century Turkish pistol.
