JAVANESE PEDANG LURUS SWORD WITH PAMOR BLADE

This wonderful pedang lurus bears a 51.5 cm long blade of beautiful pamor folded steel. The hilt is of ebony or ebonized wood, in the shape of Makara, with brass and white metal applications over carved sufaces. Wooden scabbard is mounted in white metal. Blade is 18th-early 19th century, and retains its sharp edge, hilt and scabbard are of later period. A wonderful Javanese sword!
