Description
Officially titled LA SCIABOLA MODELLO 1929 PER ARMI A PIEDI, this is a Model 1929 Foot Trooper Sergeant's sword that was carried by the Italian NCOs in the War with Ethiopia and throughout World War 2, even during the Russian campaign. The condition overal is quite good, with some loss of the chrome from the scabbard. 82 cm-long blade is in excellent shape. It's maker-marked BRESCIA at the ricasso and with the Italian Army (CA) stamp. Hilt is of the classical shape, reminiscent of the weapons from the Napoleonic period. A nice World War II Italian infantry NCOs sword.
