ITALIAN KINGDOM OF TWO SICILIES NAPOLEONIC GRENADIER HAT PLATE

This one of the rarer Napoleonic hat plates. The monogram JN on the shield is of Joseph Napoleon, the King of the Two Sicilies, who ruled for only two years, from 1806 to 1808, before being installed as the King of Spain by his brother. The plate is in wonderful condition, nicely patinated, with traces of gilding. Approximate size 23 x 23 cm.
