This wonderful hand-colored photo portrait of a World War I Italian mounted artillery trooper shows the regimental designation as the 27th battery on his kepi. He is holding a Modello 1900 sword, and is wearing an artillery trooper's bandoleer.
The portrait is very large, 53 x 64 cm. in its original frame, which is quite superb. The condition is outstanding. A rare World War I piece.
