INDIAN RAJASTAN KATAR CA.1795

This wonderful steel katar shows excellent workmanship. The elephant vs. the tiger scenes are on both sides of the blade. Both sides of the protective langets are decorated in hand-chiseled lotus flower motifs. Katar is 48 cm. long, with an armor-piercing point. The very tip of the point is lost to time. An excellent Rajastani katar dating to the late 1700s - mid-1800s!
