This German Imperial artillery officer's extra-degen is mounted with a 83 cm.-long W.K.C.-marked blade. Blade is straight and true with a few shallow nicks on the edge. Lion pommel hilt is very nicely sculpted in gilt brass, with crossed cannon and various military symbols. There is a small segment missing from the very top of the grip. Scabbard has some patina peeking through the black enamel. The hilt is very large, and would've comfortably fit a field officer's gloved hand. The langets are also much larger than is usually seen on these hilts.
