This ca.1910 Saxon artillery officer's extra-degen is mounted with a superb Eickhorn-made Eisenhauer 85 cm long pipe-back blade, gold-washed and beautifully engraved on three sides of the forte, with the monogram of Friedrich August III, King of Saxony on the obverse, and the Royal Coat of Arms on the reverse. The Saxon coat of arms is nicely cast in the knuckle bow.
A wonderful and rare World War I Saxon artillery officer's sword!
