Description
This mid-1800s Prussian Jager rifleman's hirschfanger is in outstanding unaltered condition. Blade is 41 cm long, unmarked, and shows signs of prior cleanings. Leather scabbard is not as stiff as it used to be. The sword is very tight.
This is a rare piece!!! In fact this is the first one I have seen in the last 5 years, outside of the Muller and Kulinsky books on the subject of German pre-Weimar arms.
