Description

This Prussian fusilier officer's sword dates ca.1895-1910. Made by CARL WILHELM KAISER & CO. in Solingen, the blade is finely triple-etched with military and floral motifs and the Prussian Eagle. 82 cm-long blade has acquired a uniform grey patina. There are spots of pinpoint shallow pitting towards the point. Blade has never been sharpened. Shark skin grip is 100%, so is the twist wire. Leather and brass scabbard is in fine shape, with only a couple of creases, but no breaks. A very nice World War I German sword.
