Description

This Prussian m/1811 Blucher saber is dated 1873 on the spine of the blade. Maker-marked Knecht Solingen on the ricasso, with matching regimental numbers on the guard and the scabbard. B.T. stands for the Brücken-Train - the pontoon bridge pioneer battalion. Blade is 88 cm long, sword is 100 cm long. Leather usage wear to the top of the grip, blade is nice, clean, unsharpened, with several light nicks to the edge.
A wonderful and very heavy Franco-Prussian War period Blucher in untouched, uncleaned, original condition, with beautiful uniform patina.
