This outstanding and complete revered deluxe 2 vol. set was printed in 1893 by subscription only, and is in fantastic overall condition, with minor blemishes to the decorative covers.


Over 1000 engravings of scenes, maps, portraits, unit insignia, weapons, coupled with the chronological essays chronicling the American Civil War, from the North as well as the South perspectives.


The monumental size of these two volumes is astounding! Books measure 11" x 17", and weigh almost 18 lbs, with over 900 pages as clear as the day they came from the book-binders.

This is probably the best-conditioned Frank Leslie set you will see for a long while!

A better holiday gift for a Civil War collector I cannot envision!
