This petite 12.5 cm-long percussion Liege-proofed vest pocket pistol is a cut above average in workmanship. Frame is nicely engraved in scrolled motifs, 3.5 cm-long barrel is beautifully damascened, and the maker's cartouche is placed on the right side of the frame. Nipple shows signs of corrosion, but the barrel and the frame are quite sound. Action works 100%. Trigger pops out when the pistol is cocked, and can be manually folded into the frame. Butt has a German silver compartment for percussion caps. A nice little mid-19th century personal protection piece.
Obviously it is not recommended to fire this pistol, and the same stands for any other antique firearm.
