This endearing little niello sterling silver kindjal brooch is maker-marked MK on the silver blade, along with the Vladikavkaz silver standard office marks, dating it to the late 19th-early 20th c. Measuring 6 cm in length, both the scabbard and the kindjal are made of sterling silver, now nicely patinated. A delicate and very well-made, elegant piece.
