This early 19th c. small naval dirk measures 18.5 cm overall and is mounted with a 12.5 cm long rhomboid blade, which retains much of its original blueing and has a small area of pitting at the tip. The grip is ebony wood, with a lion's mask pommel. The guard is round and is decorated with a Roman key along the edge. Virtually all of the gilding is present on the brass details of the hilt.
