Description
This British Royal Navy lieutenant's or warrant officer's sword bears a 67 cm. long blade which retains vestiges of original decorations, among them fouled anchors on both sides at the ricasso. The hilt of a transitional type, with a front loop. Traces of gilding are present on the hilt. This is a good, honest veteran of Nelson's Navy.
