Description
This British infantry trooper or grenadier's hanger bears a 70 cm-long blade, marked on the spine HADLEY, which stands for Thomas Hadley, a well-known Birmingham cutler. Front of the blade is marked with a crown over 1, a British government view mark.

Heart-shaped guard still retains some of it's tarred finish. Guard is a bit shaky around the tang. Wooden grip bears numerous pox-marks made by the wire wrap [now long gone] , and has aged gracefully into a fine dark patina.
