Description
This Austro-Hungarian M1837 officer's sword is a witness to the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, and is etched with the commemorative inscription E M ERINNERRUNG AN DEN 13,14,15 MARZ UND 15,26 MAY 1848, in remembrance of the memorable dates of the Uprising. Made by Fisher, and stamped by the maker's name on the back of the blade, which is the standard 84 cm. in length. The patina on the hilt is nice and uniform.
