Description

Even though unmarked, I believe this to be an American mounted artillery non-commissioned officer's or a militia officer's sword, ca.1810-1820. It's mounted with a 31" undecorated blade, which is secured to the pommel with a tang nut. Belt hangers rarely survive, but both are present here.   Blade is in unsharpened and uncleansed condition, maintaining its original polish, with spots of darkening.
