 I have not seen another copy available for sale. Written by the frontiersman J.R.BARTLETT, it documents biographies of many Rhode Island officers who fought in the Civil War, from general Burnside to the junior lieutenants. In addition to the memoirs, there are 34 unique engraved portraits.

This is an indispensable volume for the Rhode Island Civil War collector or a researcher. Some of the pages are still uncut. The boards were stabilized by a professional book conservator.
