This small American fighting dirk dates to the first half of 19th century, and is mounted with an 11 cm long blade. Blade is diamond in cross-section, typical of the dirks of that period. Grip is horn, with a German silver elliptical cross-guard.
Blade is peppered with shallow pitting, otherwise the dirk is in fine shape.
