FINE EUROPEAN BOAT-HILTED SMALL-SWORD CA.1740
Available in the following categories:
EDGED WEAPONS

This attractive small-sword dates ca.1740. Hand-chased bronze hilt is richly-decorated in low relief Rococo motifs against fine stippled background. The deep boat-shaped guard is up-turned and bifurcated to straddle the anterior quillon. A very attractive "epee de ville", it would have been worn by a gentleman for social visits, and would provide an ample degree of protection, if the need aros. Tri-fold, hollow-ground blade is 66 cm-long, and the sword is quite well-balanced.

Price: $900.00
