GERMAN SAXONIAN CAVALRY SWORD MODELE 1892

NO LONGER AVAILABLE

This Saxonian cavalry officer's sword dates ca. 1895-1910. It's mounted with a Carl Eickhorn-made blade, and was sold to an officer by the GUSTAV EMIL GORING company in Leipzig.
The quillon is marked with the officer's inital "A". Blade is about 92 cm-long and was lightly sharpened for field use. There is no rust or pitting, and the blade is straight and true. There is some chipping off enamel at the bottom of the grip, and no other blemishes on the hilt. Scabbard has some chipping of the paint, otherwise no rust or other damages. This is a nice and uncommon German WWI cavalry officer's sword.
