This Pattern 1897 British infantry officer's sword dates to 1901-1910. Precise dating is facilitated by the presence of cipher of King Edward VII, who only ruled for a few short years. Sword is in excellent overall condition, blade is nice and clean, hilt has small spots of superficial rust that should come out easily. A rather uncommon pre-WWI British officer's sword.
