NO LONGER AVAILABLE

This Civil War US M1860 cavalry saber was fabricated by the Roby Co. in Chelmsford, Ma, and inspected in 1864. Marked with inspector's initials AGM. Blade is the standard length, with multiple shallow nicks along the edge. Scabbard has lost its throat and is a bit short of the hilt, with blade in it. Leather is all intact, with some wear and bruising. Remnants of original wire are still hanging onto the grip. Both hilt and scabbard have acquired a nice patina.
A good, solid Union cavalryman's sword, it was just acquired together with a Moore's No.1 deringer{also available} from a Massachusetts estate.
