This World War 2 veteran shows signs of honest age. Made by Collins, it is marked and dated 1942 on the front of the 26" blade.
This machete was a faithful companion to a US Navy seaman, and served with him in the Pacific Theater, hacking through the thick jungle of Luzon, Guam and the Solomon Islands.
A wonderful, expressive piece, which is becoming scarce to find, in its original Navy-marked canvas scabbard.
