This Henry Sauerbier field officer's sword is a recent attic find. Sword is covered by a 150 year old layer of caked-on dust and grime. I gently and unobtrusively removed some grime from the blade to show that the blade isn't pitted. Blade is 31" long, in characteristic Sauerbier shape, with some light etching remaining. The very point of the blade has a little bend to it. Hilt is beautifully patinated, grip has some light play. A great untouched Henry Sauerbier-made Civil War sword!!!
