This old veteran dates to the mid-1800s. 9.5" overall, it has a 5" handle made out of solid piece of white ivory. Blade shows some honest wear from honest use.

An almost identical handle is featured on one of the 1845-1848 Franklin Expedition knives, found by McClintock in the late 1850s. It is now in the National Maritime Museum.
