This rare Philadelphia sword maker James Winner style sword is mounted with a 33" long, 1.25" wide blade with a single wide fuller running 8" short of the point. The 5" iron hilt is distinctly in the James Winner fashion, with the knuckle bow affixed through a slot in the pommel. Wide and flat wooden grip has remnants of the original leather, and the original single wire wrapping. Scattered areas of original japanning are remaining on the hilt. There is some old silver paint on the blade, which shows shallow pitting at the foible.
